Edgar Rothermel Internationale Spedition GmbH was founded in 1963 and is an established German logistics company with around 120 company-owned trucks.

Our modern fleet consists almost entirely of Daimler vehicles, including electric trucks. We provide transport solutions for customers in the automotive, consumer goods, paper, industrial and commercial sectors.

International drivers are welcome. You do not need to speak German to start – English is sufficient.

Your tasks

You will work in national long-distance transport within Germany, usually from Monday to Friday.

Your daily responsibilities include:
- Driving in national long-distance transport
- Working mainly with open platform trailers and occasionally curtain-side trailers
- Completing assigned routes and transport orders
- Handling multiple loading and unloading points, depending on the route
- Staying overnight in the truck during the working week
- Safe and professional operation of your vehicle
- Taking proper care of your assigned truck
- Correct handling of vehicle technology
- Compliance with all legal driving and rest periods
- Professional communication with customers at loading and unloading locations

Your routes can vary. Depending on the assignment, different starting times and occasional night driving are part of the job.

What we offer

Attractive Salary & Allowances
Choose between two compensation models:

Option 1: €3,000 gross/month + increased allowances
- €28 allowance on arrival and departure days
- €52 allowance for a full 24-hour absence
- With a typical Monday-to-Friday schedule, around €800 in allowances per month is possible

Option 2: €3,400 gross/month + standard allowances
- €14 allowance for absences of 8 hours or more
- €28 allowance for a full 24-hour absence

Additional payments & benefits:
- €3 net per night hour between 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM
- €50 net per month via Edenred Ticket Plus Card
- €15 gross extra per hour for additional Saturday work

- Company accommodation for only approx. €200–250/month
- Single and shared rooms available depending on availability
- Single rooms currently cost a maximum of approx. €250/month

- Accommodation is coordinated before your arrival

Requirements

To be a good fit for this position, you should have:
- Valid CE truck driving licence
- Valid driver card
- Valid professional driver qualification Code 95
- Previous professional experience as a truck driver
- English language skills are sufficient – German is an advantage, but not required
- Willingness to work in national long-distance transport
- Willingness to be on the road from Monday to Friday and stay overnight in the truck
- Flexibility regarding routes, starting times and daily schedules
- Good technical understanding
- Physical fitness for the requirements of the position
- Responsible and careful handling of vehicles
- Friendly and customer-oriented attitude
- ADR and/or forklift licence is an advantage, but not required

Important: We are looking for drivers who are comfortable with a flexible working day and multiple loading and unloading points. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys an active and varied driving job rather than fixed daily routes.
