About us

Grays Peak is supporting a PE-backed, global industrial company in the energy solutions sector in
the search for a Senior Specialist / Senior Manager US GAAP (m/f/d).
Our client is an international provider of advanced energy solutions and services, supporting
industrial customers worldwide in enabling more sustainable and efficient energy generation and
management.
This role is part of the Group Consolidation & Reporting team and represents a newly created key
position within the organization.

Your tasks

1. IFRS to US GAAP Transition
- Lead and support the transition from IFRS to US GAAP
- Analyze existing accounting processes and define required adjustments
- Ensure compliance through close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders

2. Accounting Policies & Change Management
- Develop and implement US GAAP accounting policies
- Design and deliver internal training and communication concepts
- Support business functions in applying new accounting standards

3. Financial Closing & Audit
- Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements under US GAAP
- Coordinate audit processes and external reviews
- Drive continuous improvement of accounting and reporting processes

4. Reporting & Systems (Workiva / SEC-style Reporting)
- Support the implementation and use of Workiva for US GAAP-compliant reporting
- Contribute to building audit-proof workflows for financial disclosures
- Collaborate closely with corporate reporting teams on international reporting requirements
- Support preparation for potential capital market expectations

Requirements

- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in accounting, reporting or audit with exposure to IFRS and US
GAAP
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, consolidation and accounting standards
- Experience in transformation projects (e.g. accounting standard or system changes)
- Structured, analytical and solution-oriented mindset
- Strong communication skills and ability to operate in international environments
- Fluent English required
- CPA or equivalent qualification is a plus
- German language skills are a plus (not required)
