About us

Are you looking for a production job where you can stay physically active while making an important contribution to the final result? We are looking for a motivated, hands-on employee to join your new employer.

Your tasks

- Working hours: about 35 hours per week, over 5 days (Monday to Saturday)
- Start time: between 5:00 and 7:00 a.m. (most days start around 6:00–7:00)
- Trucks bring fertilized eggs to the factory.
- You help unload the crates and place them on machines that stamp and register the eggs.
- The eggs go into warm incubators for about 8 days, then to cooling rooms to control temperature.
- After scanning (X-ray), the eggs that don’t develop are removed automatically.
- Healthy eggs continue until the chicks are born.
- The baby chicks are checked and sorted on a conveyor belt (by you). Healthy ones go to farms; unhealthy ones are removed.
- After each process, all machines and rooms must be cleaned and disinfected with chemical cleaning products (you will be trained for this).

This is an important and meaningful job in the poultry industry. You help produce healthy chicks that will grow into chickens for farms across Europe. It’s honest work, sometimes tough, but always appreciated.

What we offer

SALARY
- Hourly wage: €16.20 (including holiday pay), €14.99 (excluding holiday pay)
- Approx. €2,200–€2,600 net/month full-time, depending on hours and allowances
- Paid overtime with increased rates and additional weekend bonuses
- Travel: if you travel more than 45 minutes to work, you will get paid as of 45 minutes already.

Example: in Enschede you live with 10–12 people, everyone in his own room, with 3 bathrooms and 2 kitchens. Housing costs €575 per month (including gas, water, and electricity). This is deducted from your salary.

CAR
- Company car to drive to work (shared)
- Fuel card for commuting and groceries
- Not for private use

ONBOARDING
- You book your own flight ticket (Tip: flights are cheaper on Tuesdays)
- You will be picked up at Schiphol Airport and brought to your accommodation.
- Usually, you can start working the next day.
- You'll get a fix contact person who supports you with all your questions
- Once you are in the Netherlands you need to apply for a BSN registration (DNI number) and insurance. We will tell you how and where to arrange this but you need to make sure you will arrange this as soon as possible.

Requirements

- Speak basic English (to communicate with the company and teammembers).
- Have a driving license (you will drive shared company cars).
- Motivated to work
- Not afraid of physical labor
- Flexible and responsible
- Interested in staying for a period of 1 year in The Netherlands. If you and the company are happy after the year you can learn Dutch with our support.
